Oakland Cemetery is one of the oldest cemeteries in Atlanta. It was also the original park. Unfortunately, an F-3 tornado hit it in March of 2008 (a year after this picture) and nearly destroyed it. I believe they are still taking donations for its renovation on their website: http://www.oaklandcemetery.com/tornado.html. This picture has actually not been retouched except for a slight warming effect. Maybe this is a small way to inspire people to rebuild the cemetery!

I started photographing a few years ago just to capture small moments of my life, and people seemed to like my photos so I thought I would give this site a shot! I try to do as little as possible in post-production - most of my photographs have had nothing more done to them other than a black and white or sepia filter. I don't want to take too much away from the purity of a good shot. I figure anyone can use Instagram and create a fun photo, but it takes more to get that shot NOT using the help of built-in devices!
