My husband and I had a lovely trip to Paris and southern France last July. While on a bus trip we were able to take a photo of this cafe that we share a name with. Our photo was a little blurry and not good for enlargement. Your wonderful photo now hangs in our own kitchen as a nice reminder of that trip. It is beautiful and of very good quality. We love it. The Boots, in Carthage, MO, was one of the prime motor courts along Route 66 during its heyday. Celebrities like Clark Gable stayed here. It sadly fell on hard times after the interstates bypassed the motel and was largely neglected until recently. Now under new ownership, it is being lovingly restored back to its original glory. At the time we were there, 5 of the original rooms had been restored and they were a sight to behold, down to every last retro detail. The ladies who purchased the Boots love it, and you can sense that in every room. Yes, we stayed in this vintage gem, and yes, we chose the room Clark Gable slept in!
